Missouri DWI Overview
Do You Need a DWI Lawyer?
I am David M. Lurie, a criminal defense lawyer who has been representing clients for 37 years. Using a 21st century approach I am able to represent good people who have made mistakes. It is my priority to convince the authorities including police, prosecutors and the court, that you have simply made a mistake and have landed yourself in a temporarily bad situation. Together we can work to provide a solid case, no matter what the charge. I will use my experience to evaluate the strengths and weakness of your case so I can arbitrate a positive outcome. Chances are high that I have helped someone at one time or another with what you're going through.
Helping Clients See The Light
I know that dealing with a criminal charge is a tough time for you. I want you to know, that I do what I do, because I believe in my clients. Every single human being makes mistakes. One lapse of judgment should not be detrimental to you for the rest of your life. My mission is to relate to you, see you for the good person you are, and mitigate for you. By doing so I am able to make this process less painful and potentially lessen the severity of your situation. Regardless of your age, or the charge you are facing, I am here for you!
I am well understood in the community by the prosecutors. They understand my beliefs in criminal defense, which puts us in a positive place from the beginning. Regardless, if your case does in fact make it to Trial from lack of agreements, I will continue to fight for your rights. I will dedicate myself to portraying my client in the best possible way, and secure positive results.

David M. Lurie
I was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. I have always had a strong desire to help and serve my community.
I graduated from the University of Kansas City Law School in 1977. This is when I committed myself to a holistic approach to effectively protect my clients rights.
Only a few of my cases have ever even made it to the trial stage. This is where my almost 40 years of experience as a criminal defense lawyer helps my clients. In my determined approach to help, an agreeable plea is usually the outcome of my effective representation. You will not find a more thorough, supportive defense attorney to have by your side. As I have said before, a single lapse of judgment should not effect you for the rest of your life.
Again, I am here for you. You can count on me to be completely honest with you at all times. I am not here to sugarcoat, I am here to be the strong, attentive, experienced lawyer you need standing next to you. I am here to be a fierce negotiator and defender of your rights and the long term negative impact this charge could cause you. You can believe in my extensive communication and leadership skills to pull through even the toughest prosecution.
